Welcome to Mark Charlwood Media

Hi,

I’m Mark Charlwood, and I live in the lovely county of Hampshire, near to Winchester, the ancient capital of England. On this website, you can delve into my creative writing. Several of the articles have been published elsewhere, and some are over ten years old. I will leave to guess….

I have been working as a professional educator for the last two and a half decades. I have scripted, edited, and narrated soundtracks for corporate training modules (CBT) and information videos supporting safety-critical training. I am a qualified technical author, and a certificated Training and Quality Assessor (TAQA)

Having a background in communications, technology and aviation, I have a broad skill set that encompasses training design, delivery and capability assessment, Voiceover experience and a talent for writing cogent and engaging articles.

I have been a flight instructor for over 25 years, and hold ratings to train pilots on the Boeing 737-200, Airbus A319/320/321, Boeing 777-200/300, and the Boeing 747-400. I somehow amassed over 9,200 instructional hours, most of it sitting in a darkened full motion flight simulator.

Previously, I have worked for British Telecom, American Airlines, British Airways and the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority.

So, welcome to Mark Charlwood Media!
